NOT ALL OF US READ IT WRONG!
I love Jon Stewart!
He has a very funny knack for putting things into the proper perspective, rightly.
Those of you who thought that the 'historical' handshake between President Obama and President Raul Castro was against your morals or values, perhaps you need to check yourself.
We saw a perfect opportunity for world leaders to continue the legacy of peace and unity that Mr. Mandela was all about!
And John McCain...the nerve.
I am certain that if you disagree with that handshake that once you watch the video and listen to Jon Stewart, perhaps you will have a change of heart, at least a softened one if not a contemplative and happy heart. But for Gods sake, "Take Action Inspire Change"~ Nelson Mandela
About the "selfie", you got it, we've got something to say about that too.
You can always catch inspiration with a laugh at
Photographer Who Took Obama Selfie Picture Says We're All Reading It Wrong
No, Roberto Schmidt, we all did not read it wrong! We are taking some pretty low blows for standing up and saying the right thing. However, 'low blows' are always done out of ignorance and we do understand that. Many Americans become so outrageous when it comes to President Obama that they are laughable. So, thank goodness for a great voice like Jon Stewart and Huff Post who has more of a reach than I.
What is so surprising to me is that it is usually the British that are so starched and stuffy. So far, It is President and Mrs Obama taking all the heat! That ought to say a lot to those of you who thought the handshake and the 'selfie' photo so deplorable.
So thanks to Roberto Schmidt who also said, "Obama's behavior was in keeping with the general mood at the service":
"All around me in the stadium, South Africans were dancing, singing and laughing to honor their departed leader...the atmosphere was totally relaxed – I didn’t see anything shocking in my viewfinder, president of the US or not."Read the article in its entirety at The Huffington Post By Jack Mirkinson
We stand by our initial assessments: What a historical moment! BOTH!
